The tool is necessary for specific breeds to minimize cleanup and also minimize issues for those who could potentially suffer from allergies from excess dog hair.  While the Goldendoodle is considered a hypoallergenic dog breed that doesn’t shed much, this tool is still handy to have and use for preventing matting, tangles and other issues with the fur on their underside.

A Goldendoodle can have three different types of fur based on their hybrid parental background, but each type of fur the Goldendoodle can have will benefit from using this tool

The FURminator, like other tools that reduce tangling, matting and shedding of excess fur, it must be used in a particular manner to minimize injury to the dog or issues with the coat of fur or skin.

For those that may be looking for a tool to reduce these issues that can happen to dogs that have longer or denser fur and minimize dog fur in the home this can be a valuable grooming tool.

When used a preventative method it can help them keep their dogs coat of fur healthy when used correctly.  This grooming tool is not used by everyone that has a Goldendoodle as it is not entirely necessary, but it can be used if done gently and safely.

These grooming tools can make the work of having an adorable and neat Goldendoodle, affordable, and of course, less time-consuming.  Goldendoodles’ fur can easily mat and tangle therefore without proper grooming care and maintenance this can become a REAL issue for the dog.  If used correctly and safely the FURminator can be a handy tool in the grooming bag.

The Goldendoodle dog breed is a hybrid dog with two purebred parents.  Due to their background, they can have three different fur types.  These types include straight, wavy, and curly.  Regardless of the type of coat a Goldendoodle has, the FURminator can be a helpful tool for use on this dog breed.

One of the pure dog breeds that make up their background doesn’t shed all that much and is considered low-shedding and hypoallergenic.  Some people may think that because Goldendoodle is deemed low-shedding and hypoallergenic, this tool would not be useful.

While not a necessary tool for grooming a Goldendoodle by any means, it can be helpful for preventing issues with matting and tangling of the fur on their underside.

This however, depends on the unique situation or household the dog lives in and the skills of the person who will be doing the daily and weekly grooming of the Goldendoodle.  Safety and the health of the dog must always come first.  If not used correctly and safely the FURminator can potentially injure the dog.

Use of the FURminator is preventative, to remove fur that would eventually be matted or tangled.  This might seem like a moved point since Goldendoodle’s don’t shed much, but their body’s underside can end up matted, tangled, and a mess rather quickly is not addressed and managed correctly.

For those who are seeking to use this tool for this preventative purpose it is always best to consult the Goldendoodle’s veterinarian first.  They can best instruct if this tool is a good idea for the individual Goldendoodle and if so, how best to use it.
